With this one exception the entire range of clinical diagnostic methods is fully and thoroughly discussed, the various modifications of the Washerman test being described with a completeness which shows that the author has kept abreast of the times. Tropical diseases receive somewhat uneven treatment. Malaria is fully dealt with, but the parasite of Kala-Azar is not even mentioned and the amoeba of dysentery is very inadequately noticed.
